The Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI) is an open, collaborative group of organizations who foster digital equity and access to technology for Kansas City metro communities. KCCDI meets monthly on the first Friday of every month to hear about the work of local digital inclusion practitioners, and share information about upcoming opportunities in the digital inclusion space.

FEATURED CONTENT

As school kicks into gear, we’ll “Fall into Technology” with a showcase of organizations providing advanced digital skills training to students in the urban core. The featured presentations will include an overview of their respective programs and how they are making an impact with urban youth. Participating organizations include:

  • Urban TEC, Ina P. Montgomery (depending if the times align between the conference and the meeting)
  • Black Family Technology Awareness Association (BFTAA), George Walker
  • Cybercreationz, Goldie Powell
  • Grateful Education Foundation, Crystal Shakur
  • i.c. stars, Nyomi Brooks
  • United By Creativity, Shakyra Washington
  • W.E.B. DuBois Learning Center, Joshua Haskin

Beyond DuBois Learning Center’s own programming, the building is host to several other technology-focused and training providers, and there will be an optional tour of the center by Joshua Haskin following the meeting
