Program aims to help bridge the digital divide in rural KS and MO

KC Digital Drive is hosting two (2) American Connection Corps members who will serve a year in a statewide position to coordinate our digital inclusion programs and projects in Kansas and Missouri – including a regional outreach campaign for the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program.

The American Connection Corps is the AmeriCorps program for Lead for America, a national nonprofit organization aimed at developing leadership and advancing economic prosperity in rural and emerging communities nationwide.

KS and MO State Digital Inclusion Coordinators

The American Connection Corps members will serve in administering digital inclusion outreach for statewide initiatives and programming, including our regional Mid-America Affordable Connectivity Program Outreach Campaign that includes the Kansas City metro area along with the state of Kansas and select rural counties in Missouri.

These year-long posts will focus on coordinating partner-based digital inclusion activities, digital skills training, active participation in coalition-building  and general support of our core programs including KC Goes Tech and the Internet Access Support Program. Additionally, the ACC members will serve to manage our network of digital inclusion stakeholders, liaise with the State Broadband Offices, and coordinate the implementation of quality practices, tracking of program outcomes, adherence to policies/procedures, and ensure that reports are completed.

Deadline to apply is extended through July 14, 2023. For more information or to apply – click here.
