KC Digital Drive is recognized nationally for its work with leaders in cities that either have or are planning to build out gigabit fiber networks. For more than three years, we have worked with numerous people, organizations and projects in communities all over the country that look to Kansas City to understand how this vital work happens. This work includes sharing our Kansas City success story at conferences, seminars and other events nationwide, along with hosting hundreds of leaders at our annual Gigabit City Summit right here in Kansas City.
Just as Kansas City represents a success story for other communities to study, we want to ensure our community possesses a strong sense of how we build the social and civic impact side of the innovation ecosystem. It is critical we continue to broaden involvement in the Kansas City metro among interested city governments, organizations, businesses, and others driving innovation.
To that end, we welcome you to the Gigabit City Summit: Local Edition. This one-day event will provide Kansas Citians the opportunity to learn about what’s happening now, what’s on the horizon and how you can become involved. In addition to speakers from the tech, smart city, and entrepreneurial sectors, the Summit features leaders from healthcare, academia and local government who will offer firsthand experience about what it takes to manage initiatives beyond a large-scale fiber buildout successfully.
The event happens at the Westport Commons; an innovative facility thought to be the largest coworking space in the world in the heart of the Kansas City metro.
