Digital Scene KC is a new happy hour series for Kansas City’s digital media industry, offering digital media professionals, educators, and job-seekers the opportunity to connect, network, and share information about new ideas and opportunities in the digital media space.

Events hosted through Digital Scene KC will be informal, after-work networking opportunities where attendees can grab a drink (beer, wine or soft drink), a snack and meet with other area digital media professionals before heading home. In addition to casual networking time, a portion of the event is focused on sharing information related to a topic of interest to attendees. Emphasis is placed upon new trends in the industry and topics that fill gaps in attendee knowledge.

Events will be hosted at locations of interest in the KC area.  Each event is sponsored by a KC firm or organization that has a connection to the theme of that particular event. An initial list of planned Digital Scene KC themes and sponsors is listed below (and updated regularly):

All are welcome at Digital Scene KC events, but the series is designed primarily for current digital media professionals, area educational instructors of digital media, and graduates or unemployed professionals seeking jobs in the digital media industry.

Digital Scene KC is a project of the Kansas City Institute for Media, Animation & Graphic Innovation in Education (KC-IMAGINE), a program sponsored by Thank You Walt Disney Inc. (TYWD) and digiSTORY KC to promote collaboration between stakeholders in our region’s digital media industry. KC Digital Drive is co-hosting and supporting this series in partnership with KC-IMAGINE.
